If course it is! It’s always something because there’s always something you can do to connect.
With yourself.
With other humans.
With the Earth.
With your neighbor.
With your community.
With your soul.
So, if you’ve ever heard or ever uttered, “It’s always something,” ….
If you’ve ever heard or uttered, “You never know,”….
…today’s the day I want you to adjust these sayings.
Why? They’re unhelpful. They’re based in defeatism, on giving up without (usually) putting necessary effort into change. They can even creep toward pessimism and cynicism, both of which are steady downward spirals of our own making. It’s a NO before we’ve even gotten underway.
Nope, not today. Or again. Ever.
It’s time for YES!!!

It’s up to each of us to spiral upward by our own making and it’s equally entirely possible.
Of course change is energy intensive. To think otherwise is to forget that all movement, momentum and worth-doings requires effort which is energy.
If we’re going to expend and invest energy and effort, then let’s do it in a way that boosts and buoys, rather than deflates and deflects. Go for YES, not a pre-emptive pessimistic NO before you even have a chance to get in motion.
Like all change, thinking positively and choosing optimism requires energy. Since we can choose, choosing so that we support our own self-connection, which will ultimately ripple to belonging, then let’s choose the positive.
Instead of the first two phrases above, here’s what I want you to replace them with starting right now:
“There’s always something I can do.”
“You always know something will happen.”
When said with positive intent, these are much more help-full, use-full, and purpose-full.
Lead the way in your own life, choose positivity and you’ll change the world and yourself for the better.
After all, there’s always something you can do. And you always know someone is paying attention, that something good is possible.
Always know you have me cheering you on.
